Conference in Brianhead

We spent this past weekend at the family cabin in Brianhead. It was so good just to relax and not worry about much. Charlie did get sick with a fever and throwing up, but he is okay now. He gets sick a lot! If someone sneezes at him, he will be sick the next day. We've learned to deal with it. Most of the time it's short lived.

We woke up Sunday morning to snow! It was so fun to see how excited Logan and Charlie got. They played in it for a bit. Way cold though. Some of my favorite smells are from the cabin. I love wet pine smell (like camping in the rain), I love the smell of the fireplace when the fire just gets going. I also love the smell of the cabin in general. When we come home, all of our blankets and pillows have the "cabin smell". I can't really place it, but it is special.

This is Logan and Charlie in the snow. I am so fortunate that they get along most of the time. Logan is a very caring older brother. I couldn't ask for two better kids.

This is such a rare moment when they aren't running or yelling or jumping or playing. I am the luckiest to have them.

Breaking Dawn Las Vegas Baby!

So Kaycee, Lyssa and I went to Vegas to the Barnes and Noble Breaking Dawn Party. It was crazy all the little kids running around dressed up to look like Prom Queens. There were even a couple of kids the dressed up like I think warewolves, but looked more like hairy cats. A couple of indians even joined the group.
We were at the Store til almost 1:00 am Vegas time. It was crazy. The employees of Barnes and Noble were way irritated at all the noisy obsessed kids and kept yelling at them to back up and shut up. Then once all was quiet the guy wanted to know if we were "having a good time?" Of course no one yelled because he just told everyone to shut up. It was nuts. They ended up selling 370 books that night. Anyway, I FINISHED THE BOOK!! I know, already. I loved it but am going to miss something to look forward too. I guess I'll just have to keep calling James Edward and go on with my life. (just kidding about calling James Edward... I asked, he wouldn't let me :)

The Five of Us!

This is the most recent of the five of us. This is probably the only picture we will ever have where all of us have about the same color of hair. It is already out dated.

So Much Going On!

So, I don't have any pictures with this blog, but I thought that I would update everyone on what is going on in our busy life. James moved to Vegas at the beginning of the summer to sell pest control with Justin. I never realized how hard single moms have it, but dang it is hard. I am going to make a paper chain for the days left in the summer. Then I have a good count down for when James is permanently home.
Charlie is trying to be potty trained, but has a hard time with not having accidents at home. He does so good at daycare, I just think that he gets lazy at home. The other day, he had an accident, but didn't let any of us know. Instead, he took off his clothes and took a bath in the sink. I went to check on him and he was sitting cross legged in the sink with some soap washing up. At least he know when to get clean. Anyway, we are working on it. Logan is trying really hard to be "the man of the house". He is a good at helping me out when he wants to.
I have learned not to let them sleep in my bed while James is away. Charlie grinds his teeth something awful. It sounds like he is chewing on popcorn kernels. Logan loves to be close to someone, so he is close to Charlie, thus Charlie moves closer to me. I finally ended up sleeping on the floor. You would think that a king size bed would be big enough for only three of us, but think again.

Logans Kindergarten Program

Logan is growing up. It's hard to believe that I have a first grader. He had his Kindergarten program and did such a good job. I am proud of him. He became a member of the Sight Word Club. He is growing and growing. Before I know it, he will be driving and dating!
